Educated as a pedagogue and psychologist, earned his Ph.D. from the Helmut-Schmidt-University of Hamburg with high distinction in the field of organizational behaviour.

Evolved successfully in the personnel and training department of one of the leading Luxembourg banks. Thereafter, became the manager of the newly founded Luxembourg National Institute for the Development of Continuing Vocational Training, a public institution to promote investment in training within companies.

Naturally interested in European affairs, takes over as head of the research department responsibilities in the Leonardo da Vinci programme of the European Commission in Brussels, aimed at the development of international human resources management and vocational training projects.

As a next step, becomes managing director of a Luxembourg-based and internationally active business consulting firm with a strong focus on organizational development, strategic management, training engineering and human resources management, including European and transnational projects.

In parallel, develops an academic career through university lecturing, research projects and scientific publications, including editorship of a scientific journal. Thus, nominated in 2004 as a Professor of Communication and Organisational Behaviour, became shortly after Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at the Bonn-Rhine-Sieg-University of Applied Sciences.

Has held positions as a visiting professor at the University of Luxembourg and at the Kyungpook National University of Daegu, South Korea. Created and managed a series of academic programmes in business administration and business psychology, both at the bachelor's and master’s levels. Co-creator and vice-rector of the Luxembourg private university ISEC.

Areas of interest in research mainly concern the development of socio-constructivist views in management and leadership. Recognised expert in the field of continuing vocational training and organisational behaviour.

Author of 22 books and over 100 scientific articles on management and vocational training.

Since 2016, managing director of the newly created Luxembourg vocational training centre for the crafts sector, the largest technical training centre of Luxembourg. Since 2016, responsible for the organization of more than 14.000 training sessions with 70.000 participants within a newly built vocational training centre.

On-going activities as a business consultant and management trainer/lecturer on an executive level in management, organisational behaviour, training engineering and occupational health psychology for the European Commission, the European Investment Bank, the Luxembourg Government training centre and numerous international companies in the banking, insurance, construction and health sectors.

Highly committed and ambitious to build bridges between scientific theory and organisational practice, while studying and implementing strategies to improve the impact of individuals, groups and structure on behaviour within organisations for the purpose of improving their effectiveness.
